The Pioneer DVR-104 "Super Drive" is the latest
combination
DVD/CD writer/burner from Pioneer, improving upon the best selling DVR-A03.
The new improved DVR-104 features: 6X DVD reading speed, buffer under-run protection,
2MB read and write buffers, CD-RW High-Speed media compatibility and vertical or horizontal mounting.
Like it's predecessor the DVR-A03, the DVR-104 burns DVD-R discs at 2x speed*, DVD-RW discs at 1x, CD-Rs at 8x and CD-RWs at 4x. One drive does
it all, the multi-functional DVR-104 is the perfect solution for digital video
(DVD), digital audio (CD) and data archival.

DVD-R & DVD-RW
The Pioneer DVR-104 supports both secure, write-once DVD-R General technology
and rewriteable DVD-RW (discs may be written to up to 1,000 times). Combined,
these formats provide the optimum solution for creating DVDs**, audio and video
storage/playback; computer storage for documents, data and images; backup and
archiving; and distribution/sharing of photos and videos. DVD-R
provides the very best compatibility with future, current and legacy DVD players.
It is estimated that 98% of existing DVD movie players and DVD-ROM drives will
play DVDs created using the Pioneer DVR-104 DVD-R format. A recent article
indicated that only 70% of DVD movie players currently being sold would play the
DVD+RW format discs from DVD burners being offered by HP and others (not to
mention the incompatibility with DVD movie players and DVD-ROM drives
manufactured prior to 2000).

The Pioneer DVR-104 fully supports both CD-R and CD-RW formats. Burn custom CDs to store or share your photos, music and data files. The
included software lets you compile and catalog video, sound, photo and text

screens. With MyDVD's motion menus, you can select video clips to play in the
