At the heart of the ACEDVio is Canopus's proprietary DV CODEC chip providing the industry's best picture quality preservation and locked audio support during analog-to-DV conversion and capture. Locked audio ensures perfect audio and video synchronization at all times. 
 
The ACEDVio takes the traditional functionality of OHCI boards and enhances this with Canopus’s traditional strengths in superior analog-to-DV and DV-to-analog video conversion. ACEDVio features composite and y/c (analog video) input and output capability (io). 

The analogue in (i) adds the versatility of converting analog video to DV, using the industry’s highest quality conversion technology. No other OHCI card can offer this.

The analog output capability (O) of the ACEDVio allows output of DV back to analog video equipment as well as providing editors with a real time video preview to a TV or monitor while editing. Canopus is the only company with the expertise to bring analog output to this class of PCI board (OHCI).
